Workshop: A room, area, or small establishment where manual or light industrial work is done.

The space I previously used for my workshop created some contention in our house.  The workshop space used to be a wraparound deck.  As you can see from the photos below the tools had taken over.  I am after all a power tool junky.

We completed the new workshop in February 2007 and YES my wife finally got her deck back.

Thanks to Troy for storing my tools during the construction phase.

Click on the pictures to enlarge.

Among the tools I have are a 10" Grizzly G1022Z Table Saw,

The drill press is a Shop Fox W1680 and the lathe is a Grizzly G1067Z.

The Joiner is a Grizzly G1182ZHW, the Space Heater is a Scheu 80-VCA, the Blower is out of a retired furnace.

This Black & Decker Radial arm saw was originally my fathers. Its' vintage 1970's

I took the idea for a V-block to prep logs from Margaret Lospinuso's presentation on preparing wood for turning. I left the stump in the ground to keep it from moving when chain sawing turning blanks. Thank you Margaret.

I have a 10'x16' shed that my wife and I built from an 84 Lumber kit.

I store my lumber and logs in the shed.

We added a rear door and skylights to the shed.

I love making chips fly from my lathe,

in my TEMPORARY workshop.

My wife really likes my turnings,

but she WANTS HER DECK back.

Linda is happy to have her deck back after 7 years. The next question is will we survive the construction of the new workshop?
